Breathwork.

“Breathwork” is traditionally associated with yogic and spiritual practices. Makes perfect sense, since conscious modulation and control of the breath originated 3000-5000 years ago, codified in the Upanishads and Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Qigong and ancient indigenous cultures of South America and Africa— the point being to induce altered states of mind and consciousness for healing or spiritual connection.

But, it is so much more. Today, breathwork stands alone as a radically effective modality for optimal physical and mental health. Type “breathing exercises” into a Pubmed Central search and you’ll find more than 90,000 scientific articles published. In scientific and clinical arenas, breathwork is being studied for its incredible potential in addressing asthma, sleep, inflammation, focus, pain management, hypertension, athletic performance, and so much more. Whether it’s a spiritual pursuit or solely for mental and physical health, breathwork is cutting edge ‘technology’ for human health and performance. Get in touch to learn more.
